From a subtle splash of cool to one that packs some heat, you'll be tempted with these add-ins and more.

Check out these ways to mix your margarita into a unique drink that'll take you to paradise.

1. Sorbet
The Frozen Concoction Maker® perfectly shaves ice to create a refreshing frozen margarita. Going a step further and incorporating sorbet adds rich creaminess and consistency for a delicious twist on a frozen margarita.

Try adding some sorbet to your frozen concoctions.

Unlike ice cream or sherbet which have higher milk fat contents and a creamier flavor, sorbet is made from frozen water and fruit juice, and can even be made from liqueur. Try a lime sorbet to boost the flavor of your margarita or a raspberry sorbet complement the drink.

To add sorbet to your next margarita, simply add a scoop into the jar of your Frozen Concoction Maker® along with the other ingredients. Your Frozen Concoction Maker® will blend it with the other ingredients for a truly smooth, creamy and flavorful cocktail.

2. Cucumber
The key to using cucumber in your margaritas is two fold. First, soak the cucumber in the tequila or buy cucumber-infused tequila. This will alter the flavor of your main liquor for optimal taste that will permeate throughout the whole cocktail. The second step is to add cucumber as a garnish after your blend your cocktail. Serve in an old fashioned glass with a cucumber slice or two on the rim.

3. Spicy
Whether it's jalapenos or chipotle chilies, spicy accents are a popular addition to the standard lime margarita. There are a few different ways to add some heat to your frozen cocktail:

Rim your glasses with spicy salt. There are a number of salt options, such as cayenne salt, that you can rim your glass with. It gives you a minor spicy and salty flavor with every sip.

Use pepper-infused tequila. Like with the cucumber, you can make it at home by soaking some jalapenos or other pepper slices in your tequila before mixing a drink or you can buy a premade version from the store.

Add pepper slices for flavor and garnish. Sliced jalapenos or other peppers don't just taste good in your margarita, they can look great too, especially in more colorful varieties of margarita.

4. Mezcal
Mezcal is a made from a desert plant in Mexico that's related to agave, the plant that tequila comes from. Although from a similar source, mezcal has a slightly different flavor than tequila. Try using some mezcal in place of your tequila or mixing the two next time you make a margarita.

This unique liquor has become more popular in recent years and might be just the flavor you're looking for.

You can even use cucumber moonshine to enhance your cocktails.

5. Moonshine
Another option to replace your tequila is moonshine. Whether bought at the store or acquired from a friend, this strong grain alcohol can replace tequila in a margarita for a real kick.

Moonshine is often flavored to be sweet and fruity, tasting like cherries or apple. Incorporate these flavors into your margarita as well. It can be a great way to switch up more than one aspect of the classic frozen margarita all at the same time.

6. Key Lime
Lime juice is an essential part of any margarita recipe let alone most great frozen tropical drinks, but maybe you should try replacing it with key limes instead. These related citrus fruits don't just make you think of the classic Jimmy Buffett locale of the Florida Keys, it also can change the flavor of your drink.

Key Limes are sweeter and more bitter than classic green limes. These are great qualities for anyone who wants to tone down the flavor of tequila or simply just try a different type of margarita. Key limes and key lime juice are easy to find at your local store.
