4 Frozen Twists on Cafe Favorites

Next you time you're craving a cold drink with a punch, consider putting a twist on these venerable cafe favorites by turning these hot drinks into frozen cocktails. Try these four delicious versions of common cafe drinks.

1. Frozen Coffee with a Kick
To make a great cup of frozen coffee, you need to start with good coffee and ice. Load up the ice reservoir of your Frozen Concoction Maker® and make some strong iced coffee or cold brew coffee. Mix 3 parts cold coffee, 2 parts coffee liqueur and 1 part Irish cream for a hearty coffee drink that packs a punch.

Now, how do you take your coffee? Consider adding cocoa powder or cinnamon for a cafe flavor, more Irish cream for a creamier taste or splash of whiskey for a real kick.

2. Chocolate Mint Slide
Rather than enjoying a mint hot chocolate, try this laid back alternative. Although it tastes like a milkshake, this recipe makes three servings at only 245 calories each!

Pour 3 ounces of vodka, 1.5 ounces of creme de menthe, 3 ounces of nonfat milk, 3 tablespoons of chocolate sauce and 3/4 cups of chocolate ice milk into the jar of your Frozen Concoction Maker®. Fill up the reservoir with ice, turn it on and mix until your beverage is ready. Garnish the drink with a sprig of mint for an extra touch and enjoy.

3. Bushwacker
If you can't decide between a chocolate or coffee frozen cocktail, the Bushwacker may be your answer. Mix 2 1/4 ounces of coffee liqueur, 2 1/4 ounce dark rum, 3 3/4 ounces of ice cream mix, 1 ounce of creme de cacao and 3 3/4 pina colada mix in the jar. Drizzle 3 ounces of chocolate sauce over the ingredients and fill up the ice compartment. Concoct the drink until it's the perfect consistency and serve in a tall glass with whipped cream.

4. Frozen Fruity Tea
Try a tropical take on this cafe favorite by mixing green tea with your favorite fruit juice. Pour 4 parts strong green tea into your party machine without tea bags. Add 2 parts spiced rum, 1 part peach juice, 1 part lemon juice and 1 part tea liqueur. Concoct this mix with ice until smooth. Transfer to tea cups and garnish with lemons for a tasty, fun adult tea party.
