3 Festive Frozen Apple Cocktails
Autumn apples are as American as the pies they can be made into. Whether you pick up apples each September from your grocery store or fresh off the tree, these crisp, sweet fruits are bound to be delicious in anything you put them in.
This year, in addition to desserts and sauces, use your fresh apples for a frozen concoction or two. Here are three apple cocktail recipes you can try in your frozen concoction maker.
1. Ice Cold Appletini
The Appletini has gained a reputation as both a deliciously strong cocktail as well as a super sweet drink. Whether you've ordered dozens before or you want to try one for the first time, don't be afraid to indulge in a frozen version of this trendy drink. Here's what you'll need:
- 1 shot or 1 1/2 ounces of plain vodka
- 1 1/2 ounces of sour apple schnapps
- 1/2 ounce sour mix
- Apple wedge
- Your frozen concoction maker.
Simply add the liquor and sour mix into the party machine's blender jar. Then fill the ice reservoir and turn the switch on to shave the ice and blend the drink. At the end, pour into a martini glass and garnish with a wedge or two of fresh-cut apple. If you're making these for guests, make sure to multiply the recipe.
2. Fresh Apple Margarita
Margaritas are great with nearly any fruit added, including apples. These fall fruits are so sweet and sour on their own that they work perfectly with the existing complex flavors of a traditional margarita. Follow this recipe to make a batch of apple margaritas:
- 4.5 ounces silver tequila
- 3 ounces apple liquor or schnapps
- 1 ounce fresh-pressed apple juice
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1/4 apple, cut and peeled
"Garnish your drinks with cinnamon sugar rims and apple wedges."
Fill up your ice hopper and combine the remaining ingredients in your blender jar. Hit the switch and watch as it blends up a tasty concoction. Garnish your drinks with cinnamon sugar rims and apple wedges.
3. Frozen Apple
This classic cocktail is easy to make and delicious to drink. All you need to do is mix these ingredients in your frozen concoction maker:
- 3 ounces apple brandy
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 egg white.
Add ice, blend and enjoy. The egg white will give your drink a frothier finish. Feel free to add more brandy or liqueur as needed for the optimal results.
