December is a great time to get together with friends and family, regardless of denomination or holiday traditions. From work functions to holiday parties, if you're trying to get people together, you'll want to make sure you have interesting food and delicious drinks. Here are a few drinks you should be serving this year.

1. Frozen Toasted Almond
Skip the chestnuts on the open fire this year and opt for this nutty holiday treat. Mix 4 ounces Kahlúa®, 4 ounces Amaretto, 4 ounces vanilla-flavored vodka and 4 ounces of cream in your Frozen Concoction Maker's® glass jar. Next, load up your ice reservoir with plenty of cubes and start concocting. Once it's smooth and ready, pour it into three 12-ounce glasses. Garnish your frothy, cold cocktail with shaved chocolate or almonds.

Serve this along with dessert or on its own for a sweet, rich holiday beverage after dinner.

2. Chocolate Mint Slide
This minty drink is a great holiday cocktail that's both sweet and refreshing. Start off by pouring 3 ounces of vodka and 3 ounces of nonfat milk into your party machine's glass jar. Next, add 3/4 cup chocolate ice milk, 1 1/2 ounces of crème de menthe and 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. Make sure your ice hopper is full and blend your mix until smooth. Pour your mudslide into three glasses. Repeat for as many guests as your have - each time it makes 36 ounces.

Although mint leaves are the traditional garnish for this drink, providing additional flavor and a blast of color, consider serving this holiday drink with a candy cane for a festive peppermint flair.

3. Gin & Juice
Gin is a great liquor to incorporate into your holiday cocktails because it tastes like Christmas trees. Try a frozen update on the classic gin cocktail. Start by filling your margarita machine's glass jar with 3/4 cup of raspberries, 3 ounces of gin, 1 ounce of orange liqueur, 6 ounces of grapefruit juice and 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar. Fill up your ice reservoir, concoct and pour. Serve this bright red drink with a green garnish to really represent the holiday colors!

For the youngsters
If all the adults are enjoying frozen cocktails, let the kids get in the mix with an alcohol-free frozen treat. With a clean glass jar, add 12 tablespoons of raspberry sherbet, 9 ounces of pineapple juice and 1 1/2 cups strawberries. Concoct with ice for a sweet, safe smoothie.
